Yesterday, the group from Charleston Kids with Cameras traveled to Middleton Place to practice photographing landscapes. There isn’t a prettier place in all of Charleston, and we had a great time shooting pictures and taking in the stunning scenery on the grounds. We petted the horses, saw an alligator and a snake (no petting!) and watched a swan eat a late lunch. After all that, we capped off the afternoon by rolling down the large grass hill. A special thanks to all the folks who helped make the trip happen!

We are happy to present our new line of coffee table books that are available with all of our weddings and portrait sessions.
Our books now feature a hinged binding and heavyweight paper with wrap-around photo covers. In addition, we are also using a special pearl UV-coating to keep the images looking beautiful for generations to come and to give them a metallic sheen. We will continue to do all of our own design work on every order to ensure your satisfaction with every album.

We are so excited to be the 2009 Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure® photographers. I have wanted to contribute to this organization for some time, and I am honored that we are able to be their photographer and document their services to the community throughout the year. One of my first photography mentors, Cary Herz, had breast cancer, and I really wanted to be actively involved in helping to raise awareness within my community. After some phone calls, I discovered that the Lowcountry Affiliate needed a photographer, so here we are…
The first event I photographed was the Lowcountry Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer For the Cure® Grants Award Luncheon at Carrabbas Italian Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant where they distributed $674,739 to various organizations throughout the Lowcountry. Komen Lowcountry Affiliate annually accepts applications for breast health and/or breast cancer education, outreach, treatment support or screening projects from their 13-county service area. I can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful benefits to the communities from the grants awarded this year.
