Dan turned 29 mark II last week and decided he wanted to smoke up some BBQ. We had a few friends over, and celebrated Dan growing older…haha! We had a bit of beer, BBQ, bacardi rum cake, and lots of laughs. It was a blast and I can’t wait for 29 mark III:)

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding filled with such wonderful spirit. It took place just before sunset at Lowndes Grove’s River House on the banks of the Ashley River. Local designer, Mary Porter, made Cindi’s dress, Bhakhang Tulku Rinpoche led the ceremony, Dawn Walker Weeks of La Mer de Fleurs painted the scene with her gorgeous floral arrangements, and afterward Minimum Wage brought everyone onto the dance floor with their soulful beats. Congratulations to Cindi and Carl, their wedding was truly unforgettable.

To say that shooting this wedding was fun would be a complete understatement. Ryan and Sean exchanged vows in a beautiful beach wedding this past Saturday. Sean recently returned to Charleston from serving in the US Navy and the two of them will be moving to San Diego shortly to begin their life together. After the ceremony, we shot some photos on the rocks and then headed back to the beach house for dinner. After that, we hit the town, stopping long enough on Vendue Range to replicate Alfred Eisenstaedt’s famous V-J Day in Times Square photo. We then headed to the Market Street Saloon where Ryan threw her bouquet out into the crowd. What a great time for a great couple!
