I went out to the Legare-Waring House at Charles Towne Landing to capture some of the details from the design work of Sarah Bradley and her team at SOCIAL Event Design + Planning. The location was stunning, and the natural green really popped after the early afternoon shower. I loved her use of black and white with a green accent!

We had the privilege of traveling back up to North Carolina this weekend to photograph Beth and Chad’s wedding at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mooresville, and the reception at Soiree in downtown. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception super tasty, and you just can’t beat Mooresville’s small town charm. Beth and Chad also wanted some photos with their Boston Terrier Ty, and we were only to happy to oblige. They will be honeymooning right here in Charleston, so if you see them around town, give them a hug and tell them congratulations!

I went up to Troutman, North Carolina a few weeks ago to photograph Melissa (of Melissa + Graham) in her wedding dress on her family farm. We started in the barn and made our way through the cow pasture and down to the tire swing. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and its not difficult to see why she adores that land so much.

From the bride:
“oh. my. gosh. i LOVE them! how FUN!!! thank you thank you thank you!!!” -Melissa

We photographed the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure® this past Saturday at Family Circle Cup on Daniel Island. We have had the pleasure of helping out with the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry® by documenting many of their events throughout the year, and helping with some of their marketing plans put to life by our friends over at the Cultigraphic Creative Group. We were so excited to hear that the race brought in over 8,000 participants this year! We were also super glad it didn’t rain;) Thanks to Laura Olsen for coming out and helping us tackle all the spectacular events of the day. Here are a few of our favorites from the day, and don’t forget to perform your monthly breast exam. To see more of the photos from the day, click here.

Well it should come as no surprise that Amelia has done it again. One of her images finished in the top ten in the “Getting Ready” category of the 2009 Brides Magazine annual photography contest. The contest is a collaboration between Brides Magazine and the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and draws entries from around the world. The contest was judged by Pulitzer Prize winners Carol Guzy, Rick Loomis, and Michael Ainsworth, National Geographic photographer Jay Dickman, and former POY Photographer of the Year John Kaplan. We are truly honored by the recognition of some of the finest photographers in the industry. To see Amelia’s photo and the rest of the contest winners, click here.
