I taught another Studio 101 workshop at the Charleston Center for Photography. It was the perfect day for a studio workshop (rainy and yucky outside), great model-Jennifer Tokarev, and 6 wonderful students. We started off the day learning about some basic lighting terms and patterns. Then we finished up with each student having a turn at photographing the lovely Jennifer. Here is a photo from each of my students; it’s always SO much fun to see what they come up with;) Special thanks to Jennifer, she always does an excellent job making everyone feel at ease and she’s gorgeous!

When we met Shawn and Jessica they told us their wedding was going to be filled with lots of surprises, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. We knew after their engagement session that their wedding was going to be nothing but fun. They have such a wonderful time being together, and you rarely see them without a smile on their face. The ceremony and reception was at The Creek Club at I’on in Mount Pleasant, and the day was beautiful! As far as surprises go their guest book was 2 guitars, a flamenco dancer strutted her stuff, and Shawn played one of Jessica’s favorite songs for her with his band. We wish Shawn and Jessica the best of luck on their new adventure together, and as they would say “Live long and prosper!”;)

A while ago we posted some photos from a portrait shoot on Kiawah Island with Maggie + Jack. Here are some of the trash the dress photos we mentioned of Susie in her wedding gown. She had a vision of herself falling back in to the ocean, and Jack wanted to help out too;)

So, apparently last Friday was National Lady Gaga Day on Facebook. In celebration of the artist, hundreds of fans dressed up and gathered around Marion Square in downtown Charleston SC for a 30 minute dance party. The event sold t-shirts as a fundraiser for Haiti relief, and collected donations for the American Red Cross. I decided to head over to work on my on-going project Trip the Light Fantastic. The dance floor was full of energy, and I even caught myself toe tappin’ a bit too;).
