Our friends over at Luceo Images have a weekly “You Guess It” game where they post photos throughout the week and you guess the theme. It is quite addictive, and SUPER fun! Plus, it you haven’t made it to their site yet you can see all of their Amazing work.
We are the theme pickers this week, so get on over and play! Who knows, you might even win a prize:)

Since we are in the process of moving our office and are without proper internet access until tomorrow, we are having to handle all of our business via our iPhones. This got us thinking about how truly amazing these little things are. They really do everything, from syncing up our calendars to sending emails. They even allowed us to do this blog post of our favorite iPhone photos of the last couple weeks

We are taking a few days to freshen up our website and blog so that they can look even more spectacular;). And when I say we, I mean our gifted website guru Tim Lytvinenko. So, we are going to take a short break from updating the blog while he works his magic.
If you need to reach us in the meantime please feel free to call us 843.801.2790 or email contact@dreamlandimages.com, and our website should be available if you want to see some of our portfolio.

Our extraordinary friend Mikayla Mackaness started the Visual Cultural Awards in 2008 to spread intercultural understanding through the power of the photograph. This year the theme for the contest is “Cultural Peace.” The tVCA’s 2010 Visual Maker of the Year will be exhibited at the Charleston Center for Photography starting March 5, 2010. To promote all visual makers, the entry funds go back to the winners of the contest, with 10% going to Fotokids Guatemala. So, go ENTER and keep producing visual works that impact the world!

Well it should come as no surprise that Amelia has done it again. One of her images finished in the top ten in the “Getting Ready” category of the 2009 Brides Magazine annual photography contest. The contest is a collaboration between Brides Magazine and the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and draws entries from around the world. The contest was judged by Pulitzer Prize winners Carol Guzy, Rick Loomis, and Michael Ainsworth, National Geographic photographer Jay Dickman, and former POY Photographer of the Year John Kaplan. We are truly honored by the recognition of some of the finest photographers in the industry. To see Amelia’s photo and the rest of the contest winners, click here.
