Each day at the workshop we received individual assignments to photograph various sporting activities. I had the pleasure of photographing a couple that has been fly fishing for the past 20 years. Martha and Tom were kind enough to take me to two different fishing spots on the lower Beaverkill River. The first was a serene area and a perfect spot to introduce the tranquil sport of fly fishing. The second area was a bit livelier, with a potluck birthday party and some old fisherman stories. I learned that fishing always comes with stories, some a little more embellished than others…
These need to be in a fly fishing magazine! Its so inspiring- I tried it once (fly fishing), and I’ve never gotten to do it again…but these photos make me want to get back out there…or at least take some photos.
